Happy New Year! Welcome 2012!

Welcome to my brand new blog - Skimpy Flair Crafts
Why have I called it Skimpy Flair Crafts well Skimpy Flair is an anagram of 'Prisk Family' and because all my family have a hand in what I do I felt it only fair for them to be apart of it from the start.
One of my New Year Resolutions this year is to start to promote my crafts and ideas, this is after lots of badgering from friends and family who have over many years supported me. Most recently I handmade all the decorations for our close friends wedding reception which was for a huge Rugby Club Ballroom. I was told that I had transformed the room into 'something unrecognisable' 'A fairytale room' 'something really special', many of the guests asked if I did this for a living and this made me think that if I ever wanted to I would need to do it now and promote what I do and what I can do. I started by opening a group on Facebook which has been sort of successful but only gives me a small audience, this is where this blog comes in. This is going to allow me to test the water and see what you all think. I hope you like what I have done so far and I have lots more to come - Enjoy!!

Thanks Nick @ SFC

Tea Bag Gift Holder

These lovely Teabag Gift holders I have made after an idea I saw on an American craft blog. I thought they were a brilliant idea because how often do you want to give something small but special to someone who is feeling down or is unwell or you just want to give a small thank you.
I will be adapting them near the end of term as I thought they would be a great gift for a child to give to their teacher.
Please let me know what you think x

I made this Cornish themed bunting for my sister-in-law who owns a Cornish Pasty Shop (Prisk's Cornish Oven) in Crewe, Cheshire.
She sent me this picture showing it on the wall in her shop. I am really pleased with it.
